NUS Trade Show is an annual event and a unique opportunity for suppliers to meet directly with members, position products and share the latest innovations. The show provides unrivalled access to the student market, with commercial managers and key staff from students’ union outlets across licensed trade, catering and retail attending. This year, we had everything from hospitality robots, the Red Bull F1 car and the Premiership trophy. The show is a vital line of funding for NUS Charity, directly contributing to the support we provide to students’ unions.

This year’s U DINE Awards took place at Nottingham University Conference Centre on Tuesday 20th June. Hosted by celebrity Chef Simon Rimmer, the awards celebrate excellence in hospitality across both food service and licensed operations in Higher Education across the University Sector. The awards were judged by an experienced caterer panel from the University Hospitality Seminars team and were also scored using guest experience management company H-GEM’s software. Leeds University Union won Best University Bar, beating a number of university run operations to the accolade. For the second year running NUSSL are delighted to partner with CUBO for the 2023 Summer Conference at the University of Glasgow from the 5-7th July. CUBO is the association for leaders and teams working in commercial and campus services in higher and further education. The Summer conference for 2023 has an impressive programme of speakers who will be exploring how the university sector can deliver improved economic and social value against the current backdrop of economic and geo-political pressures.
