NUS Services Ltd ( NUSSL) is a not for profit entity rooted in ethical procurement, delivering purchasing frameworks across retail, food service and licensed hospitality for the education sector. We also work with other like-minded organisations that share our values.

We are more than a purchasing consortium, we are a support service to our members delivering ethically screened procurement with best in market pricing, marketing support, operational support, income generation and finance support.

Our areas of support include bar, shop or café outlet design & planning, range reviews, supplier selection and management, negotiated pricing, allergen nutrition and labelling advice and training and concept development.

We are a membership organisation for over 130 educational institutions & community organisations across the U.K. and our members operate bars, cafes, shops, venues, eateries, licensed cafes, theatres, hotels and festivals.

Sustainability

As NUS Services Ltd, we are a recognised & trusted organisation championing a better world for students. Sustainability & Ethics are important to our communities and central to our values. We have been championing sustainable futures for decades with our sister charity Students Organising for Sustainability.

All our suppliers are ethically screened and work within our ethical code of conduct. As part of our insight and market data we track sentiment across a variety of categories to ensure an accurate barometer on the importance of ethics & sustainability to students as well as wider demographics.

Our sustainability work with SOS has led to the development of the Fair Trade university and colleges award and we have an extensive range of Fair Trade products available to members and their institutions. Read more here.
